A formal shoe that works as hard as you do
Men love classic brogues, oxfords, and derbies. They've been the go-to work shoe for a long time, and they've earned that spot. But the workday looks different now. You're on your feet longer, and the commute is unforgiving, starting and ending your day. So we kept everything you like about the classic formal shoe (a polished faux leather look) and changed what’s underneath. The heel has the cushioning you’d normally find in a sneaker, which is built to absorb the stress of being on your feet for long hours. It’s still a shoe dressed for work, but with better cushioning.
You don’t have to pick sides
Dressing for work usually means picking a side. Go too relaxed, and your shoes stop looking like they were meant for work. Go too formal, and the whole outfit feels like you ran out of ideas. These shoes sit in the middle. The style is the classic one you already know. The sole is light-toned, which is just enough to add a nice contrast, so it doesn’t turn into another plain dark formal shoe. Same trousers, same shirt. Just a more comfortable pair of formal shoes.
Formal shoes usually feel tight. This one doesn’t.
Most formal shoes are tight in the two places you notice the most: across the width of your foot and over the top of it. That’s where the lacing makes a difference. These shoes use a derby-style lacing system where the shoe opens up wider when you slide your foot in, so you get more width and more space over the top of your foot. Inside, the lining is Lycra. It’s good at managing moisture, so less sweat builds up in your shoes even on a long day. Closed shoes, hours of meetings, and a packed commute won’t leave your feet feeling hot inside.
Designed to bend where you do
The sole has grooves cut across it, placed where your foot naturally bends when you walk. So the sole flexes with you instead of restricting you, whether you’re crossing the road, climbing stairs at the metro station or walking from one meeting to the next.
